Maintaining a flexible work force with contract engineers may be an ideal solution if you need a specialized skill set, have peak workload needs or a short term project that does not warrant a full time hire. Some of our clients use contract engineers for feasibility studies or to start a project while waiting for full funding.

  • There is no question about benefit eligibility or job classification since contractors are employees of Protingent Staffing.

  • Payroll is seamlessly handled by Protingent Staffing. All engineers are paid on a regular bi-weekly basis by Protingent Staffing for the previous two work weeks based on a signed time sheet.

  • Protingent Staffing is responsible for proper withholding and submission of all Federal and State payroll taxes.

  • Protingent Staffing pays into state and federal unemployment funds for each engineer. When their assignment is complete they will have accrued benefits and will return to their prior unemployment status.

  • Protingent Staffing engineers are covered under the Protingent Staffing Labor and Industries (L&I) insurance plan.
